Glenochil Yeast Factory - Ruston & Hornsby - 88DS
'OO' Gauge
Released: 02/09/26
DCC Ready (6 Pin)
Era 4
Display the bold logo of Glenochil Yeast Factory on this 88DS model locomotive. This diesel features NEM tension lock couplings and a lovely green livery. The 80/88hp Ruston & Hornsby 4wDM was a reliable machine and ideal for the modest demands of smaller industrial concerns. Several found use in Scotland shunting rail-connected whisky distillery yards – in this case the yeast factory alongside the distillery of the same name, located just south of Menstrie in Clackmannanshire, where sidings connected with the Cambus-Alva branch line. Works No. 245030 was built in 1947 and worked the factory yard until 1969, when it was sold to William Kerr Ltd in Stirling. It moved to Babcock & Wilcox Ltd., boiler makers in Renfrew, in 1971, where it remained until about 1978, then presumably scrapped.

LNER - Flying Scotsman & GWR - Pendennis Castle (Australian Tour) - Train Pack
'OO' Gauge
Released: 02/09/26
DCC Ready (21 Pin)
Era 7/8
n 1988, Australia celebrated its bicentenary and, to mark the occasion, the world-famous ‘Flying Scotsman’ was invited to travel from Britain to take part in a series of railtours that were part of the ‘Aus Steam 88’ Festival, arriving in October that year. Already resident in Western Australia since 1977, in the care of the Pilbara Railway Historical Society, former GWR ‘Castle’ Class 4-6-0 ‘Pendennis Castle’ was moved by road to Perth in early 1989 to operate alongside its one-time rival ‘A3’ Class ‘Pacific’. This unlikely reunion occurred almost 9,000 miles from where a week-long locomotive exchange once took place between the LNER and GWR, in April 1925. This LNER and GWR Train Pack celebrates that landmark event in Australia 37 years ago in 1989. Featuring OO gauge locomotive model replicas of 'Flying Scotsman' and 'Pendennis Castle'

Era 4
The Great Western Railway (GWR) was famous for its variety of 4-6-0 steam locomotive classes, and none were more numerous and successful than the 49XX ‘Hall’ Class. The type was later developed to create the 6959 ‘Modified Hall’ Class which continued the successes of the ‘Halls’, operating from the final years of the GWR and throughout the British Railways period until steam ended on the Western Region in December 1965 yet N scale models of these iconic machines have never been produced, until now! Developed alongside the brand new ‘Halls’ for the Graham Farish range, these masterpieces in miniature have been created through extensive research and detailed surveys of the preserved locomotives, of which there are several. The mixed traffic machines were found across the GWR network and beyond, and the new Graham Farish models will find many stablemates in the Bachmann range – from other locomotives to rolling stock and Scenecraft buildings – all suited to creating an authentic Western scene.
